CBSE UGC NET July 2018 : Central Board of Secondary Education released revised notification for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor. Eligible candidate may apply for CBSE UGC NET July 2018 on its official website

On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conduct twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.

Central Board of Secondary Education published examination notification for UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor. CBSE is going to conduct UGC-NET exam on 08th July, 2018 (Sunday). Candidates who have essential qualification they may apply online for this exam through official website. The candidates are required to apply online from 06th March, 2018 to 05th April, 2018 on Applicant can be paid fee up to 06th April, 2018.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is a test to check eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. On behalf of the University Grants Commission UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE conduct National Eligibility Test NET. NET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master’s degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc) from a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern: Going forward, UGC NET will consist of two different papers (Paper I, II) conducted in two sessions. Candidates will need to appear for these two papers in order to be eligible for JRF and Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor only.

Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Application Fee

The application fee of UGC NET 2018 varies category-wise. Application fee, once submit, is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Fee details are as follows:

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1st January 2018.

The upper age limit for appearing in JRF has raised by two years, i.e. from the existing upper age limit of 28 years to 30 years (the relaxation as earlier will remain same).

UGC NET 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus of National Eligibility Test (NET) is different for different subjects. The subjects includ in NET is more than 100. Candidates should also prepare from the syllabus of their qualifying examination. Candidates must prepare as per the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE.
